Earthwise (8") 6-Amp Electric Pole Saw

I had some difficulty getting the blades on the holder since I never put one together before. I had to guess and finally figured out about the screw which was not shown in any picture in the booklet. The pictures could be a bit better to see exactly what the blades should look like when attached properly. Since there was none I had to guess which could have been a problem once the tool was in use.

The tool is heavy and difficult to use.Not for the faint of heart. But it gets the job done.

The problem was with the instruction pictures. The tool is fine.

Great tool when its running,used mine for only a few hours when it slowed down and stopped.Not wanting to ship it back I took it apart to check the switch,was okay.Next took apart the motor end,be careful of c clip on drive socket,the chain side is the one to lift up.

I found the brushes were binding in their holders,something had cooked itself on the inside of the holders and would not let the brushes make contact .You can pry the metal insert out of the plastic holder, careful, and push the brush out.I just scraped the inside with a very small knife blade to get rid of the crud.When you reinsert the brushes make sure they are free.The saw has been running fine after the fix but I will look into getting a new set of brushes and holders.
