Q: will this be okay for medium sized trees and how far can it be used on an ext. cord?

A: Tha chain saw should do just fine. The max distance on an extension cord is about 100', before it starts losing its power needed to operate adequetely.

 Easy to handle

Very pleased with this product after first day of use. I hope it continues to be reliable.

I am Physicaly unable to do much at one time and find this to be relatively easy to handle. My only complaint is that the two prong plug easily disconnects from an extension cord.

Other than that I find it delivers as advertised.

CSD RESPONDS: It might help iff you loop the ends of the power cords in a loose knot- it will take the strain off the plugs themselves.

 Hot Saw!!

Had a sycamore stump that had been around for a bit, and this saw was itching to get to it.

Sliced through in fine fashion. Was easy to handle, had plenty of power, yet none of the noise, fumes, & gas to deal with.

Didn't disturb the neighbors a bit. I would buy this saw again, but I doubt I will need to because it is well built.

Chain Saws Direct was great to deal with. Only fly in the ointment was the drop shipping from the manufacture. The manufacture's warehouse manage to transpose two digits in my address, which put the package in limbo for... more

 Operating my GW 20032

I like my new saw very much. I first used it to remove a large (15" dia) oak limb that was 35' above the ground.

While near the top of the 32' ladder the saw was very easy to handle. If I were to advise any improvement to the saw it would be to move the safety/start button to a more convenient position, closer to the trigger switch.

It's a very good value for the price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good electric saw.
