Q: I am looking for a shredder that will handle weeds, small branches, bamboo. Will this work for that? Can you use it without the bag? by Ruth from Pennsylvania on June 02, 2011
A: Ruth - the Greenworks chipper is is designed to work on yard waste, debris, sticks and twigs up to 1-1/4" in diameter. The chipper material will accumulate directly on the ground under the chipper. There is no bag on this model. This model is also not designed to "shred" leaves, grass and weeds. You cannot place any "green" materials into this unit. This is not a "chipper/shredder" - this unit is only a chipper for harder materials. by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Is this product made in the U.S.A.? Thanks. by Anonymous on May 17, 2011
Q: Is it not powerful enough to shred pine cones or is there some other reason that pine cones aren't recommended?
Is there any kind of warranty on this product and can it be serviced? by Joey Jay from Texas on May 14, 2011
A: The shredding of pine cones is not suggested, due to the power, but mainly the knives that are in the shreddar. There is a 4-year manufacturers warranty. Usually electric lawn tools have a hard time being serviced, unlike gas powered tools. by Mike, Product Expert
Q: Can this model shred pinecones? by Helene from Florida on April 08, 2011
A: Thanks for your inquiry. I do not recommend you shred pinecones with this chipper. by Mike, Product Expert

solid chipper
Performs as advertised. Have used it several times and it handles branches up to an inch with no problem. I intentionally do not put anything wider in the chipper.
It is mobile and easy to clean out. Good tool for the price so far.
