Mike's Recommendation
This is the pole saw for large and/or recurring trimming jobs like manicured trees and large shrubs, since this unit reaches up to 9 feet.
The pole saw is weighted and balanced for safe use by the rear-mounted engine. There is a thoughtful engine guard on the rear to protect the engine from damage.
The saw shaft separates into two pieces to make it easy to store and transport; plus it doesn't take any tools to connect the two pieces; just a simple slide and clamp.
The saw comes with a padded safety harness, so you can safely and accurately manage the long length over an extended work day.
Add in Husqvarna's long track record for excellent saws and more features than we can list here, and you can see why this model sits at the top of the list.

Saw not assembled correctly at factory
The saw came when it was scheduled to come. It came in 3 sections. The first section was the engine attached to the first section of shaft. The second part was the middle shaft and lastly the saw itself. Assembly was easy and the instructions were very easy to follow. The engine started after a few pulls. No problems, yet.
After starting the engine, I found to my dismay that the saw would not turn after the engine was at full speed. I took it all apart and painstakingly made sure that as I reassembled the saw all the components meshed together. I restarted the saw and it worked, for a while. After I made a few cuts, the saw stopped turning when it was at full throttle. I disassembled and reassembled the saw one more time. The same thing happened.
I then called the Husqvarna customer service number. Don't bother going that route. After numerous selections as where to go, all I got was someone who told me where the nearest dealer was in my area. I took it there.
The problem with the saw was in the section that came pre-assembled from the factory, the engine to the first section of shaft. Something was not put together correctly that allowed the internal section of the first shaft to separate from the engine.
The work was completed under warranty. My advice is to immediately go online and register your saw just in case a similar thing happens to you.
Other than that, the saw is great and has a lot of power.
CSD RESPONDS: You can quickly find your local service shop by going to the Customer Service button at the bottom of our web site, then clicking on Service Centers. Then click on the Husqvarna box, and you'll be taken directly to their Dealer Locator.
Just enter your zip code, and you'll have a map with the Authorized Repair locations in your area, along with their addresses and phone numbers.
We suggest calling before you go to make sure they work on Chain Saws; and be sure to bring a copy of your receipt.

Excellent Pole Saw
I will have to update this review when the weather clears. The pole saw was delivered promptly, exactly what I wanted.
I shopped around online, another online dealer sold this model for the same price, but it did not come with the body harness. This saw has an outstanding harness included with it.
I will update my review once I can get it to the service center. I have contacted Husqvarna and they advised me to take it to a service center. The problem is that it turns the sprocket clockwise when I rev the motor. It is turning backwards. The chain should turn away from the motor.
It does start extremely easy, in fact it starts way better than any saw I have ever had, and I have lots of them. The roads are not safe to drive to the service center at this time, when they thaw out, I will take it to have it looked at. I really look forward to giving a better review, but can't at this time.

Great saw
Used it 3 times and it worked like a charm. On the 4th try it would not start. I took it in for warranty repair and the coil was replaced.
I lost a lot of time and momentum, but despite the disappointing start I am pleased with the chain saw.
