Chain Stretch
On Husqvarna 460 Rancher with new 24" bar I install a Husqvarna 24" chain (H47 or H80). The initial adjustment uses up half of the available screw tightening. I lube the blade sprocket and use almost all the bar oil with a tankful of gas. The chain cuts great but after about 4 or 5 tanks of gas, the adjustment screw is bottomed out though the chain is still sharp. I quit shortening the chains and simply put on a new one. Husquarna should adjust the bar length so we can get more... more

H47 Is A Great Chain. Roy Is An Idiot.
Roy when you have a new chain on a saw it stretches. Run it tighten. Run it, check it. I run my saw for a 2-3 minute warmup period to stretch the chain out and make proper adjustments. After the chain stretches you should only have to to check every 20-30 minutes of use. Keep the scrench in your pocket. It is your best friend in the woods. The H 47 is an excellent chain for professional loggers and Fire wood cutters. Roy sounds anything but professional. Thanks

Husqvarna 460 Rancher Eats Chains
I bought extra chains when buying my Husqvarna 460 Rancher chain saw in July 2013. The saw virtually ate chains since two of these chains came off the track and were damaged in the "dismount". The back tabs became peened when exiting the track so that they could not fit into the chain saw track once they left the track.

I returned the Husky 460 Chainsaw for warranty but had no option except to take another Husqvarna 460 chain saw even though I proposed paying more money to buy... more
Cons: Unreliable, Durability
